Our Consultants
Timothy B. Lee, ED.M. is the Director of AHP Educational Consulting and oversees services to all clients at AHP, including independent school clients, college-bound students, at-risk teens and those with special needs. After working in several school settings, Tim Lee realized that developing longer and deeper relationships with students and their families was the most rewarding aspect of his work. Working independently allows him the freedom to focus on what is best for each student, and the leeway necessary to assure the best possible fit between student and school or college.
A Certified Educational Planner, Tim has guided young people to make informed educational decisions for three decades. Before joining AHP, he was an associate director of admissions as well as a placement advisor at two leading New England schools. Tim graduated from Harvard College and received a Master of Education in adolescent development from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He is currently president of the Independent Educational Consultants Association and has served on the board for five years. He also is a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling and the American Institute of Certified Educational Planners. Tim can be reached at (978) 261- 1412.
Allison W. Matlack, M.A.T. is an Educational Consultant who has devoted her professional life working with independent school students and helping them to thrive academically, emotionally and socially. At AHP, Allison works with younger students to help them choose independent schools, both day and boarding, and also with older students planning for college. Allison taught English at Westtown School in Westtown, Pennsylvania, where she also served as dormitory head, swim coach, and Associate Dean of Students. Her work there as a college counselor, however brought her special pleasure because she was able to help students define their abilities and passions and make solid choices about their educational futures. Since moving to the Boston area, Allison has taught Freshman Composition at a local college and Social Psychology at the Phillips Academy Summer Session. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Bates College and received a Master of Arts in Teaching from Tufts University. Allison can be reached at (978) 261-1436.
Susan Clancy Kennedy is a nationally recognized expert in the entry-level job search field. Susan has expanded her services to work with clients who are still enrolled in college to respond to the changing job market: Employers no longer hire college graduates based on potential.
